Blog Tour & Giveaway! Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires, #5) by Chloe Neill

First off, November 1 may be my new favorite day of the year! So many awesome new releases in books today!

This post is dedicated on one of my most favorite adult paranormal/urban fantasy series about some kick ass vampires! The Chicagoland Vampires series stars Merit who weilds a katana and serves her maker, leige, Master vampire Ethan Sullivan as Sential of Cadogan House.

I gave the very first book in this series, Some Girls Bite, the ballsy award. It was an amazing book that looked at how a new born vampire, Merit, joins the ranks of the Cadogan House and kicks just about everyones ass on the way to, basically, 3rd in command. I highly recommend this series. Check out my reviews:

Cover Art: Heartless (The Parasol Protectorate, # 4) by Gail Carriger

Orbit has released the cover of Gail Carriger’s next installment of The Parasol Protectorate series, Heartless.

I am NOT a fan of this cover! I’m hating the model and her hair, and the way she’s looking directly out at us. And the back photo is subpar compared to the amazing art work that was used on the previous books (although the giant castle is pretty cool)! The purple I can deal with but BLAH! Highly disappointed in this cover.

But this cover will not stop me from drinking this book in as soon as I can get my bloody hands on it! I LOVE this series with a passion. They are so much fun, witty, and full of loveable characters.

Book Trailer: Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon

St. Martin’s Press has released the book trailer for the upcoming release (May 25, 2010) of Infinity: Chronicles of Nick by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Infinity: Chronicles of Nick by Sherrilyn Kenyon

At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.
Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.
But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he’s next on the menu.

As if starting high school isn’t hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that? — Amazon

If you’ve read Sherrilyn’ Kenyon’s adult Dark-Hunter series then you may recall who Nick is. And I’m sure you won’t want to miss out of unveiling his childhood.

Trailer

Download the song from the trailer!
Read an excerpt (or listen to chapter 1!).

I’ll be anxious to read this one. I’m a bit behind on the current Dark-Hunter releases but I’m keeping them for that day when I really need something comforting and reliable. 🙂

First Line Friday: Spirit Bound (VA, Book 5) by Richelle Mead

This weeks “First Line Friday” comes from a long awaited release in the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, Spirit Bound.

There’s a big difference between death threats and love letters—even if the person writing the death threats still claims to love you. –page 11, Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead

What an opening! 🙂 I’m currently on page 200 and I’m wondering where this is all going. 🙁 Not too much action so far and I have my ideas on where it’ll end up but I’m wanting “more”. 🙁

Spirit Bound was released this week.
