Kindle Daily Deal: $1.99 Regular Price: $16.99

Summary (Goodreads)

Why be the sheep, when you can be the wolf?

Seventeen-year-old Ismae escapes from the brutality of an arranged marriage into the sanctuary of the convent of St. Mortain, where the sisters still serve the gods of old. Here she learns that the god of Death Himself has blessed her with dangerous gifts—and a violent destiny. If she chooses to stay at the convent, she will be trained as an assassin and serve as a handmaiden to Death. To claim her new life, she must destroy the lives of others.

Ismae’s most important assignment takes her straight into the high court of Brittany—where she finds herself woefully under prepared—not only for the deadly games of intrigue and treason, but for the impossible choices she must make. For how can she deliver Death’s vengeance upon a target who, against her will, has stolen her heart?

The good news is that Book 2, Dark Triumph, is releasing April 2, 2013!

Kindle Daily Deal | The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight [Kindle Edition] by Jennifer E. Smith

Kindle Daily Deal (01/22/13)

$1.99

Summary (Goodreads)

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan’s life. Having missed her flight, she’s stuck at JFK airport and late to her father’s second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley’s never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport’s cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he’s British, and he’s sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver’s story will make you believe that true love finds you when you’re least expecting it.

I never officially reviewed this book but I did feature it as one of my favorites from 2012 for my Armchair BEA post. Here’s what I had to say then:

This one was just a perfect example of the type of contemporary romance I die inside to read. Hadley and Oliver meet in an airport and things just blossom from there. I loved the vulnerability of them both. The unfolding of emotion and the stories they tell each other. A brilliant love at first sight story. I can’t wait to read more by this author! Her next book, This is What Happy Looks Like, sounds amazing and I can’t wait to read it in 2013!

I bought it at $9.99 for my Kindle. I would jump on this opportunity to get this amazing book for less than $2! The follow up companion book, This is What Happy Looks Like, will release April 2nd, 2013 and I cannot wait! I have requested the eARC via Edelweiss and am waiting and hoping for an approval!

Purchase this Kindle Daily Deal and go ahead and pre-order the next book too!
