Defy by Sara B. Larson was an amazing read!
All of the characters were amazing. Each one of them warmed my heart. Except for the bad guys, obviously. But those villains were some of the best out there.
Alex is the perfect strong female lead character. What she overcomes left me with feelings of warmth and strength to conquer my own fears. She is so strong and kicks some major booty.
Prince Damian has a few tricks up his sleeve. His story is similar to Alex’s and we grow to love him.
The story is beautifully told with lots of action and surprises. The scenes are full of detail and painted the picture perfect.
I look forward to the next book in this series. I highly recommend this to lovers of epic fantasy and female heroins.
Many reviews mention the “love triangle” but for me it didn’t feel like a negative love triangle. I almost didn’t read it because of the love triangle but I am SO glad that I did.
