What I Read…..or didn’t read this week!

I started this book on Monday and I made it 32% into it until yesterday. I had such high hopes for this book! I am quite sad that I just could not get into it.
Pia is the most unlikeable character I have read in ages. She’s “perfect”. And that may be her greatest flaw. I thought it would get better once we met Eio but it just doesn’t.
I am not sure if I will continue reading this or not. I decided to start another book and I am only 2% into it and it is already 100 times better than Origin.

Summary (Goodreads)
Ananna of the Tanarau abandons ship when her parents try to marry her off to an allying pirate clan. But that only prompts the scorned clan to send an assassin after her.
And when Ananna faces him down one night, armed with magic she doesn’t really know how to use, she accidentally activates a curse binding them together. To break the curse, Ananna and the assassin must complete three impossible tasks—all while grappling with evil wizards, floating islands, haughty manticores, runaway nobility, strange magic, and the growing romantic tension between them.
