In My Mailbox: Week 34

Here’s what I got this week!

Thanks to Kristi of The Story Siren for hosting!

Bought

Amazon has a new Kindle Deal of the Day, a new deal every(week)day! I bought this for $1.39. Most the daily deals are going for $1.99, not a bad price!

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo

224 pages, Candlewick Press, (2009-08-30)

(Amazon.com)

Won

Timeless by Alexandra Monir

304 pages, Delacorte Books for Young Readers, (2011-01-11)

$9.65 (Amazon.com)

I won this signed on Alexandra’s site during the one day YA Scavenger Hunt. She also sent me a CD with two songs that she wrote and sang herself!

One Day (Movie Tie-in Edition) (Vintage Contemporaries) by David Nicholls

448 pages, Vintage, (2011-05-24)

$7.45 (Amazon.com)

I won this book, two Moleskin note pads, a makeup bag, and what I think is a “One Day” charm bookmark. Thank you Beth @ Beth Fish Reads for the giveaway!

I won this tote bag from Scholastic’s On Our Minds Blog! I gave it to my 7 year old daughter. She wasn’t impressed but she hardly ever is. But she’s always complaining about the amount of packages I receive in the mail and that her and Daddy never get anything, so I told her this package was for her. Should have known she’d react that way.

NetGalley

The Wicked and the Just by J. Anderson Coats

352 pages, Harcourt Children’s Books, (2012-04-17)

$11.55 (Amazon.com)

Free Kindle Edition

Forever Mine (The Moreno Brothers 1) by Elizabeth Reyes

pages, , (2010-09-06)

(Amazon.com)

Other Purchases

Heartsy - Exclusive deals on fabulous handmade designer items at members-only prices.

I ordered two PDF patterns from Hadley Grace Designs. I purchased store credit for her site via Heartsy. It was a major deal! Highly recommend Heartsy if you’re an Etsy fan.

I’ve already sewn the dress for my daughter. She’s wearing it today! I had to borrow my mother-in-laws amazing sewing machine because mine has decided to eat thread rather than produce seams. Not sure what I’m going to do about that. It’ll cost $62.99 to have it looked at at Sears but I’m wondering if I should just put that money towards a better machine. My mother-in-laws cost $3,400! I won’t be getting that one that’s for sure and I’m a little sad about that.

  1. I like Kate DiCamillo’s writing. I read one of her other books before!

$3,400 dollars for a sewing machine! Wow, I hope it also brings her a latte and then makes her bed for that price!

    Happy Sunday to you Jess:)

  2. I’m seriously addicted to my Kindle. LOVE those deals of the day and all the deals all the time! AH! I was reading a report last week (I don’t even remember where) that said e-reader users buy more books than people who buy traditional books. See! We BUY more! Ha!

Love the books you got this week. They look good!
