Overall

An interesting look at an array of paranormals and government agencies trying to control them

Summary (Goodreads)

Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.

But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

So much for normal.

First Line

"Wait-did you-You just yawned!" The vampire’s arms, raised over his head in the classic Dracula pose, dropped to his sides.

Most Memorable Scene

The scenes of Evie and Lend talking.

Plot

This is a rather dark book because of the plot theme. Evie’s "job" has just become something else entirely and finding out what is going on is proving to be deadly to those around her. I can’t wait to read the next book to find out exactly what’s going on!

Setting

Evie is kind of a paranormal guru and helps find paranormals that are acting out and she brings them in to restrain them accordingly. The base that Evie works out of is pretty cool. Evie’s friend, Lish, is a mermaid! 🙂

Writing

I didn’t have any issues with the writing. I read this book pretty fast.

Originality

While not 100% original, think X-men, I found the characters to be the strong point of the book. Evie and Lend are the strongest characters but the secondary characters add so much to the story too. I really enjoy it when secondary characters stand out.

Characters

The characters make this book what it is. Evie is just too hard not to love. And Lend? I *swoon* over Lend. We don’t find out too much about Lend but boy I can’t wait to find out so much more. As stated the secondary characters add so much to the story and I can’t wait to read the next book to find out how they all work together on the next big issue!

Romance

Evie and Lend do have an attraction going on. I enjoyed seeing their relationship bloom and look forward to seeing  more in the next book!

Title/Cover Bonus

Gorgeous cover and the title couldn’t be any more perfect. My question is, why hasn’t the title been used before!? It seems so "duh".

Series

Supernaturally will be released July 26, 2011 and the cover is just gorgeous! I can’t wait!
