I’ve seen this on a few blogs so I’d thought I’d join the fun! The last one I read was Lori’s over at Pure Imagination.
Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack: Not usually but most often if I’m snacking it’s Tostitos and salsa.
What is your favorite drink while reading? In the am it’s coffee, otherwise it’s either water or a soda. Nothing special for reading time cause reading time is all the time. 🙂
Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you? NO! I do not mark my books at all. Well, I do sometimes, in anthologies because I have a hard time remembering why I like one short story and not another.
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open? Bookmarks usually. I have Harlequin Teen flyer I’ve been using since BEA 2009 for the large books and I have tons of smaller bookmarks for paperbacks. I love matching up author bookmarks to their books while reading. If I don’t have a bookmark handy anything will do as long as it doesn’t damage the pages.
Fiction, non-fiction, or both? Fiction. I haven’t read a non-fiction book in a really, really long time.
Are you a person who tends to read to the end of a chapter, or can you stop anywhere? I can usually stop anywhere as long as I finish a paragraph. I tend to refuse to stop at chapters because that’s usually where the awesome is happening. I try to stop shortly after the awesome but before more awesome comes. I try my best to finish the page I’m on.
Are you the type of person to throw a book across the room or on the floor if the author irritates you? No. I don’t think I’ve ever thrown a book before. Gently tossed, sure, but never thrown. 🙂
If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop and look it up right away? Yes, depending on where I am and how much it irritates me not knowing. The Kindle is awesome for this because of the built in dictionary. I don’t like coming across a foreign language so I tend to look those up immediately.
What are you currently reading?

And it’s freaking awesome. 🙂
What is the last book you bought? It’s a pre-order but it’s the last book I’ve placed an order for.

Are you the type of person that reads one book at a time, or can you read more than one? I read one book at a time. However, I’ve been known to start one book, put it aside for another, then come back to it afterwards.
Do you have a favorite time/place to read? I’m The Cozy Reader which means I like to read comfortably so the couch (our new reclining couch is awesome) or in bed. We also just got a new recliner that’s pretty comfy I must say.
Do you prefer series books or stand alones? I love me a good series. I like feeling like I know and can grow with characters along the way. However, I do love stand alones too. If a stand alone can wrap its self up and only be one book, it’s a great thing.
Is there a specific book or author you find yourself recommending over and over? YES! I’m always gushing about Gail Carriger’s books:

I pushed a few books on my friend recently:

How do you organize your books? (by genre, title, author’s last name, etc.) I tend to organize by size: tall to short. And then by series and author. However, my bookcase is overflowing so there really isn’t much organizing going on right now. 🙁 I’d love to pull them all off and organize by author name and publication date.
That was fun! 🙂
I joined in the fun!
