Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, Book 4) by Richelle Mead

I read this and the first three books last week. Amazing series. If you haven’t read it, you should! Seriously. No summary here to avoid spoilers! 🙂 And boy is it spoilerly…yeah, I made that word up! Oh, and Dimitri is THE bad boy of the year. Yum.

Divorced Desperate and DeceivedDivorced, Desperate and Deceived by Christie Craig

Love Spell (November 24, 2009)

Summary (Christie’s ico_www ):

Of the Divorced, Desperate and Delicious club, Kathy Callahan is the last surviving member. Oh, her two friends haven’t died or anything. They just gave up their vows of chastity. They went for hot sex with hot cops and happy second marriages—something Kathy can never consider, given her past. Yet there’s always her plumber, Stan Bradley. He seems honest, hardworking…and skilled with a tool.

PLUMB CRAZY

Kathy’s best-laid plans are about to hit a clog. The guy snaking her drain isn’t what he seems. He’s handier with a pistol than a pipe wrench, and she’s about to see more action than Jason Statham. The next forty-eight hours promise hot pursuit, hotter passion and a super perky pug. And at the end of this wild escapade, Kathy and her own undercover lawman will be flush with happiness . . . assuming they both survive.

I didn’t know I was getting this one. It sounds a little fun! And a lot like Desperate Housewives, which I stopped watching a few seasons ago.

Perfect Little LadiesPerfect Little Ladies by Anny Drake

Summary ( )

Nobody knows that better than Elinor Young, one of the posh housewives of Westchester County. She’s worked hard all her life to get where she is. With her perfect husband, gorgeous grown-up children, and a house with more rooms than she can count, Elinor has it all—including her own personal blackmailer. Somehow, someone has figured out that she hasn’t been spending her afternoons in Manhattan with ladies who lunch but with a major married politician, and now she’s got to shell out a whole lot of money or the truth about her life will be exposed. If her family learns everything it would be embarrassing—besides she never set out to hurt them—but if the town finds out she’s really screwed!

So she gathers her friends around her, spills the beans to them, and decides to do whatever it takes to prevent scandal. But when Elinor and friends set out to track down the extortionist, none of them expected other secrets to be told.

Knew this one was coming and it too sounds like another Desperate Housewives book! A bit of light reading never hurt anyone! 🙂
