Daring you to read… Feed by M.T. Anderson

Daring you to read… is a new feature I’ll be doing alongside Tynga’s Reviews. She thought of it and asked me to participate! I’m hoping you’ll love or at least appreciate the books I dare you to read and of course we’d love it if you’d participate too!

This week’s Daring you to read is Feed by M.T. Anderson.

Summary (Goodreads)

For Titus and his friends, it started out like any ordinary trip to the moon – a chance to party during spring break and play with some stupid low-grav at the Ricochet Lounge. But that was before the crazy hacker caused all their feeds to malfunction, sending them to the hospital to lie around with nothing inside their heads for days. And it was before Titus met Violet, a beautiful, brainy teenage girl who has decided to fight the feed and its omnipresent ability to categorize human thoughts and desires. Following in the footsteps of George Orwell, Anthony Burgess, and Kurt Vonnegut Jr., M. T. Anderson has created a not-so-brave new world — and a smart, savage satire that has captivated readers with its view of an imagined future that veers unnervingly close to the here and now.

What an amazing book. I just re-read my review of it and I want to read the book again! The review is one of my most passionate reviews I’ve written. What to know what’s sad? I don’t have any comments! Of course that’s because I posted my review prior to switching to self hosting. I’d love to hear some comments on my review.

Have you already read this? What did you think?
